Database Development Administrator at eTranzact

Job Description

• Manage and administer Linux servers and database instances on all critical servers for optimal performance and high availability
• Facilitate Replication/Backup and Restore of data on all critical database servers for high availability to all applications
• Proactively identify and resolve database-related hitches/issues
• Facilitate installation, configuration and implementation of database servers
• Support the software development process through database implementation activities

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc Degree in a Computer discipline or relevant certification
• Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Familiarity with programming languages API
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
