Role Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy and protection policies in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise on data protection matters and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Data Protection Awareness training for staff across various levels.
• Deliver specialized Data Privacy training for top-level executives.
• Provide certification training in preparation for the Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) examination.
• Plan and execute compliance audits and data protection impact assessments.
• Monitor data processing activities and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on privacy and compliance matters.
• Stay current with evolving data protection legislation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or any other related field
• At least 2 years of experience delivering audit and training on Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA)/ General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Proficiency in Data Privacy and Privacy Policies
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and Privacy Compliance
• Excellent understanding of data protection laws and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Relevant certifications such as CDPO, or similar are a plus
