Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Data mining; digging deep into batches of data gotten from various efTD departments and systems in order to spot patterns that may crop up.
Data interpretation: go through data sources gotten from mining in order to interpret and draw conclusions.
Report generation and presentation; weekly, monthly and quarterly client and company data mined and interpreted should be made into a report and presented.
Proper maintenance of databases/data systems.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Working with programmers, operations team, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
Requirements
2 - 3 years of proven experience working as a data analyst in the logistics, transportation or ecommerce sector.
Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, python
Problem-solving skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations
