Data Analyst/ NOC Officer at Western Buckland Nigeria Limited

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Officer / Data Analyst with advanced Excel proficiency to join our team. The ideal candidate will monitor network operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform detailed data analysis using Excel to generate insights and improve network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network systems for outages, performance issues, and incidents.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network problems efficiently.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support when necessary.
• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel reports, including pivot tables, charts, and dashboards.
• Analyze network performance data and suggest optimization strategies.
• Automate data analysis tasks and report generation using Excel macros and formulas.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to enhance network monitoring and data reporting.
• Keep accurate records of network issues, resolutions, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

• B.Sc / HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network monitoring and data analysis.
• Expert-level Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
• Knowledge of SQL or Power BI is an added advantage.
• Experience in telecom or IT infrastructure is a plus.
