Ensuring accurate weights of baggage at the check-in desks are captured and processed
Recording and storing of unclaimed Green Africa tagged baggage at the Arrival hall in the store
Assisting customers with their luggage and directing customers with baggage irregularities (such as lost or damaged) to the Duty Officer
Advising and assisting customers on how to process payment for their excess baggage
Ensuring baggage is properly tagged with destination details before conveying the baggage to the Baggage Screening Point
Ensuring that baggage is in good condition before acceptance. Any noticed damaged bag should be handled in line with Green Africa policy
Recording and processing all Company Materials (COMATs) and RUSH bags accordingly either on a departing or an arriving flight
Prompt identification and assistance of customers with special needs (eg Wheelchair customers, Expectant mothers, Mothers with infant, Group travellers etc) before approaching the Check-in desk
Ensuring that no baggage is left unattended to within the check-in area. Also, checks for suspicious baggage and adheres to security procedures and weight limits before tagging such bags
Coordinating with the Check-in officers and the Turnaround Coordinators to track unloaded baggage
