Overview

• Business Insider Africa is looking for a Tech & Fintech Content Creator who can translate complex technology and financial topics into short, engaging, and visually appealing social media content. The role requires creativity, strong storytelling skills, and an understanding of what drives engagement on platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in emerging technologies, digital finance, and innovation across Africa. A special focus will be placed on cryptocurrency and blockchain-related stories as part of the creator’s KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and publish short-form content highlighting key developments in technology, fintech, and cryptocurrency across Africa.
• Repurpose Business Insider Africa’s website stories into platform-optimized videos, carousels, and threads.
• Identify and jump on relevant tech and fintech trends in real time.
• Work closely with the editorial team to visualize complex topics such as stablecoins, central bank digital currencies, and blockchain innovation.
• Track and analyze performance metrics across all social platforms.
• Manage online communities, respond to feedback, and encourage healthy engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating digital or social media content in technology, business, or related sectors.
• Strong grasp of fintech, cryptocurrency, and emerging tech trends.
• Proficiency with tools like CapCut, Canva, Premiere, or After Effects.
• Understanding of social media algorithms and audience engagement best practices.
• Ability to tell stories clearly and creatively for different platforms.
