    Crawler Crane Mechanic

    Job Summary

    • Crawler Crane Mechanics who would be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining crawler cranes and related heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
    • The role involves working on hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, undercarriages, and structural components.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on crawler cranes.
    • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
    • Repair or replace defective parts such as pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, tracks, and control systems.
    • Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Inspect and maintain crawler tracks, rollers, sprockets, and undercarriage components.
    • Conduct safety checks to ensure cranes meet operational and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
    • Perform welding and fabrication repairs when required.
    • Test equipment after repair to ensure proper functioning.
    • Follow safety procedures and company maintenance protocols at all times.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a heavy equipment or crane mechanic.
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.
    • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
    • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
    • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Physical strength and stamina to work in demanding environments.
    • Trade tests certification in heavy equipment mechanics (preferred).
    • Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment.
