    Country Manager (VAS) - Telco

    Our client is a renowned multinational VAS company. They currently have an opening for an experienced Country Manager (VAS) - Telco.

    Job Profile:

    The primary role of a Country Manager is to define and drive expansion into the SMS market, develop and implement effective SMS business strategies. He will be responsible for the SMS trading activities with specific list of accounts, for maintaining and managing the relationships with existing partners, and for further developing new opportunities, with a goal to grow direct margin of this segment. He will be contributing to the company's awareness development through interaction with influential people and marketing activities.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Develop, drive, manage sales activities to grow revenues and direct margin in the A2P SMS field that support and exceed forecasts, and execute effective business strategies while identifying new market opportunities via market research and initiating contact.
    • Grow acquisition, managing both our existing sales pipeline and generation of new SMS business while contributing to the direct margin and revenue increase of the A2P SMS Business.
    • Monitor traffic and respond to all problems with prompt attention.
    • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
    • Assist and managing business operations in the market / office.
    • Related to sales team activities - Annual increase in quarterly/annual margin, revenue, growth, and acquisition targets in the assigned region.
    • Communicating new development SMS business to prospective clients
    • Overseeing the development of marketing literature
    • Collaboration of the teams within the unit and between different units.
    • Coach, Develop and guide the SMS enterprise team on how to drive the most optimal customer journey and how to grow each client in the team’s portfolio.
    • Building and maintaining a high performing region.
    • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.

    Requirements

    • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering/or Business
    • Minimum 6 years of Experience in the SMS A2P/P2P and SMS trading environment. Or in a related field.
    • Knowledgeable in telecom industry
    • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence your stakeholders.
    • Fluent in English and Local Language
    • Result driven with positive and persistence attitude.
    • High degree of self-motivation and ownership required to succeed in a high growth organization.
    • Ability to enhance, tailor and drive sales process across an assigned region while always in line with company strategy.
