JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Coordinator ICT has the following responsibilities:

Strategic

• Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the ICT department’s strategy and ensure alignment with NRCS strategy, goals and objectives
• Demonstrate ownership and communicate the ICT department’s strategic direction and objectives to direct reports ensuring dissemination to all staff in the department
• Provide broad guidelines for translating the department’s objectives into specific operational plans, approve and coordinate the execution of departmental plans and work programs

 Operational

Governance 

• Develop ICT policies and ensure compliance by all subsidiaries which are critical to the integrity, security and performance of NRCS technical infrastructure
• Oversee the effective management of ICT assets and ensure provision of adequate ICT infrastructure to end-users
• Provide guidance in the handling of subsidiary ICT functions and oversee subsidiary ICT performance
• Facilitate the achievement of ICT synergies within the Group and provide guidance on all ICT projects across NRCS
• Identify and manage relationships with service providers and ensure consistent adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

 IT Infrastructure Management 

• Provide broad guidelines for the development and implementation of data management/ warehousing strategies to ensure the integrity and security of NRCS data and proper use of IT infrastructure
• Oversee the development and implementation of systems and mechanisms to ensure continuous protection of ICT infrastructure
• Directly oversee procurement of relevant ICT equipment
• Keep abreast of recent ICT trends and developments, and their relevance/ application across NRCS
