Job Summary:

The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a residence. The cook will ensure that the quality and presentation of all dishes are up to standards. They must be knowledgeable in culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented in an appealing manner
• Assist with the development and testing of new menu items
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment
• Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures, including food handling and sanitation standards
• Manage inventory and ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are on hand
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Train and supervise kitchen assistants and other support staff as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Culinary degree or certificate is required.
• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be a male
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience as a cook
• Residential experience is desirable
• Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
