    Community Mobilization Officer

    Job Description

    • Develop and implement community mobilization strategies
    • Engage with community leaders, stakeholders, and influencers
    • Organize awareness campaigns and community events
    • Conduct awareness campaigns and organizing community events are effective ways to disseminate information, raise awareness about project objectives, and encourage community participation.
    • Facilitate community meetings and focus group discussions
    • Mobilize community members to participate in project activities
    • Actively involving community members in project activities fosters ownership, empowerment, and sustainability. Mobilization efforts may include recruiting volunteers, forming community committees or action groups, and encouraging participation in workshops, trainings, or community-based initiatives.
    • Monitor community perceptions and attitudes towards project interventions

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, International Relations, or a related field. A Master’s Degree may be preferred for some positions.
    • 1 - 2 years of experience in community mobilization, grassroots organizing, or related fields.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing community engagement strategies and initiatives.
    • Experience working with diverse communities, particularly in multicultural or international settings.
    • Previous experience in project management, community development, or humanitarian work is an asset.
