This internship is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in non-profit communications, digital media strategy, and social impact storytelling.
The role offers valuable exposure to social media management, content creation, and branding within a mission-driven organization.
Job Description
Assist in drafting, editing, and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Help design basic graphics and visuals using tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
Support the creation of short videos, reels, and animations for campaigns or storytelling.
Monitor daily activity on social media and assist in community engagement (comments, DMs, tags).
Contribute ideas for social media campaigns, awareness days, and online challenges.
Help update content on the organization’s website and blog.
Assist in preparing and sending out newsletters via platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
Track and report on digital performance (likes, shares, reach, clicks) using tools like Meta Insights or Google Analytics.
Suggest improvements based on trends and data analysis.
Participate in weekly communications meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Assist in maintaining content calendars and asset libraries.
Support other communication-related tasks as needed campaigns.
Perform other related tasks.
Requirements
Recent Graduate of Communications, Journalism, Gender Studies, or related fields.
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal, with the ability to create clear, engaging content.
Familiarity with platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn; basic design or editing tools (e.g., Canva) are a plus.
Demonstrated passion for gender equality, women’s rights, and social justice.
Able to manage time, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team.
Eager to learn, contribute, and support the team’s mission.
