Communications Executive at HR-on-Wheels

Role Summary

• Lead external communications, strengthen brand positioning, grow media presence, and manage a knowledge and practitioner community (online and offline).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a communications strategy
• Write press releases, stories, newsletters, and donor updates
• Manage brand voice and media relationships
• Secure media features, interviews, and speaking opportunities
• Lead community engagement (events & virtual groups)
• Oversee social media, blog, and newsletter content
• Manage and mentor junior communications staff.

Key Requirements

• 5–7+ years in communications, PR, journalism, or similar
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Proven media relations and placement experience
• Experience building and managing communities
• Strategic, organised, and digitally savvy.

Preferred:

• Journalism or think tank background
• Community/event organising experience
• Multilingual (English + French/Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa)
• Brand development or repositioning experience.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
