    Commercial Director (Expatriate/Local Hire)

    • Understanding the value drivers of the business in Nigeria and identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
    • Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained.
    • Working closely with the Head of Sales to manage key customers (existing and new), thereby improving turnover and profitability
    • Reviewing existing services and markets ;Undertaking market research and analysis and producing business plans/recommendations (including all associated costs and forecasted revenue for the business),
    • To ensure that all business development opportunities are optimized.
    • assist in setting financial targets and developing and adhering to budgets
    • Be responsible for strategies for expanding the retail markets in  Nigeria , acquiring and maintaining  new customers
    • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and preparing  reports for senior management
    • Build, plan and implement the overall digital marketing strategy.
    • Manage the strategy.
    • Manage and train the rest of the team.
    • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices.
    • Manage and oversee different digital marketing channels.
    • Measure ROI and KPIs.

    Competency/Skill/Requirements

    • 4-5 years proven experience as COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR or other relevant role
    • Minimum 10-12  years post NYSC experience (if Nigerian)
    • Proven experience in retail sales , customer generation  
    • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
    • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
    • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
    • Strong digital sales skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
    • BSc/BA in business administration, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
    • The person should have prior experience in retail business preferably with well known brands etc. (if expatriate, prior working experience in Nigeria is a MUST).

         Ability to work under high pressure and tight timelines is a must. A flair for retail and technology will be an added advantage
