Clinic Assistant at Petcare Animal Hospital

Job Summary:

Petcare Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and organized Clinic Assistant to support our veterinary team in delivering quality care to pets and excellent service to clients. The Clinic Assistant will help with daily clinical operations, attend to clients, assist veterinarians, and ensure the hospital environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and provide assistance with registration and appointment scheduling.
• Support veterinarians and nurses during consultations, treatments, and procedures.
• Help in handling and restraining pets safely and humanely.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the clinic, consultation rooms, and waiting areas.
• Assist with preparing and cleaning instruments and equipment.
• Provide basic pet care guidance and customer service to clients.
• Handle clerical duties such as filing, recording, and updating medical records when required.
• Ensure a smooth flow of clients and pets within the hospital.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or animal care setting is an advantage.
• Passion for animals and ability to handle pets calmly and gently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to learn and follow veterinary protocols.
• Minimum of SSCE/OND qualification (higher qualifications are an advantage).
