Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support:

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing learning materials and classroom activities.
• Support in delivering lessons and engaging children in age-appropriate learning and play.

Child Supervision and Safety:

• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Help manage children\'s behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.

Daily Care Routines:

• Assist children with toileting, handwashing, feeding, and dressing, as needed.
• Ensure a clean, hygienic, and comfortable environment.

Record Keeping:

• Support in maintaining attendance records, progress reports, and incident reports.
• Observe and document children’s behavior, development, and learning progress.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with the lead teacher, parents, and other staff members.
• Support parents during drop-off and pick-up times with updates on the child’s day.

Classroom Organization:

• Help in setting up the classroom for daily activities and cleaning up afterward.
• Organize learning resources and supplies to support learning.

Participation in School Activities:

• Assist during school events, excursions, and special programs.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

• Minimum of NCE with good English skills (some schools may accept this for assistant roles).
• OND/NCE in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or daycare setting.

Skills and Competencies:

• Passion for working with young children.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of early childhood development.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Creativity and a willingness to participate in children’s play and learning activities.
