Civil QA / QC Engineer at Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO)

Position Summary

• We are seeking a seasoned Civil QA / QC Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain the comprehensive Quality Management System for all civil and structural works.
• This role ensures that all construction activities i.e from initial site preparation to final structural completion to adhere to stringent project specifications, international codes, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and ensure implementation of the Site Quality Plan, including inspection and test plans (ITPs) for all civil disciplines.
• Manage all quality documentation, including material certifications, inspection records, and as-built drawings. Ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, BS codes, and Nigerian regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of ongoing works, including earthworks, piling, concrete pouring for heavy turbine foundations, and structural steel erection.
• Oversee sampling and testing of construction materials (concrete, steel, soil, aggregates) to verify compliance before installation.
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs). Work with construction teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Review contractor QC procedures and audit subcontractor performance to ensure standards are maintained.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Sc. / B.Eng / HND. in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years in civil engineering, with at least 5 years focused on QA/QC for large-scale infrastructure or power projects.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering, structural concrete, steel construction, and industrial piping civil requirements.
• COREN certification is an advantage.
• Willingness to reside in Akwa Ibom State is a must.
