Civil Project Engineer at Craneburg Construction

Description

• The Civil Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising civil engineering projects from design through completion.
• The role ensures that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction activities in line with project schedules.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other project teams.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Prepare and review method statements, work plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, materials, manpower, and equipment requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and construction challenges.
• Liaise with the project manager and other stakeholders on project progress and technical matters.
• Assist with quantity verification, cost control, variations, and measurement of completed works.
• Ensure proper testing, inspection, and documentation of completed works.
• Support project handover, snagging, and close-out activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project engineering.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, structural, or related civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and site practices.
• Proficiency in **AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional certification/membership with **COREN** or other relevant engineering bodies is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
