Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Civil Engineer with a strong background in site-based project execution for real estate developments, industrial buildings, and factory construction projects.
• This role requires an engineer who has spent the majority of their career on construction sites, someone deeply familiar with actual project delivery, construction methodologies, and site supervision.
• The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership, and a practical mindset to manage on-site activities and ensure the successful and timely delivery of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring that work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Oversee the execution of structural works, substructures, superstructures, drainage, concrete works, steel structures, masonry, and finishes.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, site workers, and consultants to ensure efficient project progress.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, ensuring correct implementation on-site.
• Apply and adapt different construction methods depending on site conditions and project needs (e.g., cast-in-situ, precast, steel structures, etc.).
• Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control, safety, and environmental standards.
• Track material usage and ensure timely procurement in coordination with the procurement and logistics teams.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, material logs, and workforce attendance.
• Support project planning and scheduling with insight into real-world constraints and construction sequencing.
• Participate in site meetings and provide clear, technical feedback and progress updates to management.

Person Specification
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• COREN or relevant professional registration is a plus but not mandatory for the right experience profile.

Experience & Background:

• 7 - 9 years of hands-on, site-based experience in civil engineering within real estate developments, industrial buildings, or factory construction projects.
• Must have directly supervised and delivered multiple construction projects from foundation to completion.
• Solid experience working with diverse construction methods, traditional, precast, and steel frame construction.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating on-site operations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, sequencing, and real-time problem-solving on site.
• Skilled in using tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction documentation software.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards and construction regulations.
• Familiarity with setting out works, leveling, and supervising layout according to site plans.
