Position Overview

• TAAS Group of Schools is seeking an experienced and passionate Civic Education / National Values / History / Government Teacher to join our academic team.
• The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and a proven track record of nurturing students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Civic Education, National Values, History, and Government in alignment with the school curriculum and national standards.
• Prepare engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids to meet diverse learning needs.
• Foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and strong moral values in students.
• Maintain discipline, encourage participation, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess students’ performance through tests, assignments, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to support students’ academic and social development.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
• Uphold the school’s vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Political Science, History, Social Studies, or related fields.
• 5 – 10 years teaching experience in Civic Education, National Values, History, and/or Government.
• Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or close to the Apata region for easy accessibility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Familiarity with WAEC/NECO curricula is an added advantage.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
