Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef to join our team.
• The ideal candidate must be proficient in preparing and cooking authentic Chinese cuisines using traditional techniques such as stir-frying, steaming, roasting, braising, and deep-frying.
• The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring rich flavours and attractive presentation.
• Execute traditional Chinese cooking techniques, including stir-frying, steaming, roasting, braising, and wok handling.
• Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all meals are prepared on time and meet established quality standards.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, food storage, and stock management.
• Monitor and maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
• Collaborate with management on menu planning, cost control, and kitchen budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with food regulations, kitchen protocols, and company policies.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND qualification
• Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or specialty cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, spices, and dishes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
