Job Summary

We’re looking for a visionary CTO who can architect the future of technology across our portfolio, spanning gas infrastructure analytics, payments, logistics automation, mobility platforms, renewable energy systems, and enterprise SaaS products. You’ll lead engineering across multiple business units, support digital transformation in asset heavy operations, and build scalable, secure platforms capable of supporting rapid growth across Africa and beyond. This is an opportunity to shape a technology ecosystem from scratch products, teams, processes, infrastructure, and culture.

Job Description

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute technology strategy
• Lead design of scalable, secure systems
• Identify and adopt relevant emerging technologies
• Translate business goals into tech roadmaps

Product & Engineering

• Oversee full product development lifecycle
• Mentor and lead engineering and product teams
• Maintain coding standards and agile practices
• Review and test systems and new features

Technical Operations

• Ensure platform stability, scalability, and security
• Manage architecture, cloud infrastructure, and databases
• Implement monitoring, optimization, and recovery processes
• Oversee integrations and feature deployments

Project Management

• Prioritize and manage development tasks.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, and delivery quality.
• Implement project management best practices.
• Resolve technical issues proactively.
• Collaboration & Culture
• Align tech initiatives with business needs.
• Communicate progress and risks to leadership.
• Support BD with technical insights
• Build a strong engineering culture and lead hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in software engineering or technical leadership
• Experience in building and scaling technology products or platforms
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and system architecture
• Proven ability to lead and guide engineering team
• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills
