Job Overview

• The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will be responsible for the overall security of the company, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
• Conduct regular risk assessments of company facilities, processes, and assets, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing measures to address them.
• Supervise and coordinate security personnel and activities.
• Implement strict protocols for managing vendors, contractors, and visitors entering the factory to protect sensitive areas and maintain security.
• Monitor and control the entry and loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are inspected and documented.
• Manage the security department’s budget, including staffing, equipment, and training costs.
• Ensure the maintenance and repair of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, and procure new equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement and security agencies to coordinate efforts when required.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to work place safety and security.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a chief security officer.
• Minimum SSCE certificate or diploma.
• Security training or certifications is an added advantage.
• Ex-police officer or ex-military personnel is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, for incident reporting.
• Knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Not older than 50 years.
• Must reside at Ejigbo and environs.
