As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at BFREE, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring financial health and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving strategic financial initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, controlling, taxation, audit, and financial reporting.
Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to senior leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
Drive operational efficiency and optimize financial processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
Lead debt and support equity fundraising efforts, including preparing investment proposals, negotiating terms, and managing investor relations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate and mitigate financial risks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING OUT FOR
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ICAN) preferred.
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with a track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and fundraising.
Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements; IFRS 9 knowledge will be highly valued.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and foster collaboration across the organization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
