    Chief Financial Controller

    • Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for financial management?
    • As a Chief Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in steering financial strategies to new heights. Join our client’s organisation in driving excellence and innovation in financial control.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate company-wide innovation efforts to drive success and advance technological capabilities, enhance operational efficiency through innovative initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align operational objectives.
    • Provide oversight for key team heads such as Sales, Finance, HR, and Customer Success.
    • Implement reporting structures, deadlines, and frameworks to ensure accountability and track progress.
    • Streamline daily business operations and optimise procedures for maximum efficiency.
    • Enhance internal and external processes to improve overall operational effectiveness.
    • Partner with sales and growth teams to drive revenue and achieve financial targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
    • Establish policies that support the company's vision and foster a positive organisational culture.
    • Evaluate company performance and propose strategies for improvement.
    • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to secure capital and execute business expansion initiatives.

    Educational Qualifications.

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
    • A Master’s degree is preferred.
    • A professional certification as an accountant in ICAN/ANAN/ACCA is preferred.

    Skills, Experience & Attributes.

    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or auditing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
    • Flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities.
    • A strong understanding of financial principles, including accounting, financial analysis, and reporting, is essential.
    • A deep understanding of the mortgage banking industry, including mortgage products, loan origination, servicing, securitisation, and regulatory requirements, is critical.
    • Thorough knowledge of banking regulations, particularly those specific to mortgage lending, is essential.
    • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks is crucial.
    • Strong Financial planning and analysis skills are essential for forecasting financial performance, analysing variances, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of the bank's strategic plan.
    • Strong reporting and compliance skills are essential for preparing accurate and timely financial statements and regulatory filings.
    • Strong leadership skills are essential for leading the finance team and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
