    Chief Finance Officer

    Responsibilities

    Strategy and Planning

    • Assisting the CEO in formulating the company's strategy and supporting tactical initiatives.
    • Monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans
    • Developing performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
    • Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization
    • Managing the company’s budgeting process and monitoring performance.

    Financial planning and reporting

    • Overseeing all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization such as Financial Reporting, Management reporting, and Statutory reporting
    • Tax planning

    Treasury Management

    • Liquidity management
    • Investment management
    • Maintaining relationships with counterparties

    Operations

    • Ensuring that operations/back office support business strategy.
    • IT Strategy (Hardware, Software, Vendor management)
    • Monitoring and ensuring reliable control systems.

    Others

    • Relationship management with Banks, Regulators (CBN, SEC, NSE), and Tax Authorities. 

    Requirements

    • A degree in Accounting or other related fields
    • ACA or ACCA qualification and registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN)
    • A Masters in Business Administration or Masters Degree in a Finance related course is desirable
    • 8 - 12 years relevant working experience with a minimum of four years in a supervisory or managerial position.
    • Experience in a similar role in the financial services industry will be an added advantage.
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS)
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
    • Treasury/Investment management
    • Financial statement analysis
    • Financial modeling
    • Risk management
    • Understanding of IT infrastructure and processes
    • Excellent ethical values
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Excellent people management skills
    • Good relationship management skills
    • Resourcefulness and initiative
