Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Chef skilled in preparing a wide variety of African dishes.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing quality local meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian/ African meals such as soups, swallows, rice dishes, grills, and local delicacies
• Ensure meals are prepared to taste, quality, and presentation standards
• Plan menus and introduce creative local meal options
• Always maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Manage food inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Supervise kitchen assistants and coordinate daily kitchen activities
• Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals
• Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef with strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine
• Relevant culinary certificate is a must
• Ability to prepare both local and continental dishes is an added advantage
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Must be 30 years and above
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Good communication skills
• Expertise in Nigerian/African meal preparation
• Creativity in menu planning
• Ability to maintain consistency in taste and quality.
