Chef de Partie (CDP) at YellowDoor Hotels

At YellowDoor Hotels in Abuja, you’ll take charge of rotating kitchen sections serving restaurant guests and events. You’ll keep dishes consistent when service gets busy and help 3–4 junior cooks improve. This is an on-site role with rotating shifts, including weekends. Base pay is monthly.

Your Mission

• Run rotating sections for restaurant and event service.
• Prepare and plate dishes to agreed recipes, quality and ticket-time standards.
• Keep assigned stations clean, stocked and ready before service.
• Monitor portions, stock shortages and avoidable waste.
• Coach 3–4 junior cooks on prep and hygiene standards.

What You Bring
Must-have:

• 2–3 years as a CDP or in a similar role
• Recipe and plating consistency
• Food hygiene and safety
• Peak-period service
• Section stock control
• Junior-cook supervision

Nice-to-have:

• Culinary training or certification

The Non-Negotiables:

• Cannot work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Cannot demonstrate measurable improvements in junior cooks’ work.
• Compromises on food hygiene or accountability during busy service.

The Purpose of This Role:

• Keep restaurant and event service moving across rotating sections while maintaining dish quality, safe stations, controlled stock use and strong junior-cook performance.
