Summary of Responsibilities

• prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines.
• Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to high quality and aesthetic standards before service.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service periods.
• Monitor the condition of kitchen equipment and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and coordinate procurement to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Enforce strict hygiene, food safety, and kitchen sanitation standards at all times.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food preparation procedures and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with management to plan menus, control costs, and implement kitchen efficiency improvements.

Academic Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of NCE in Home Economics, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Strong culinary skills and creativity in food presentation.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene standards, and food handling regulations.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Candidate residing within Oyo, Awe or willing to relocate will be preferred.
