Job Summary

• As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and efficient financial transactions.
• You will be responsible for handling cash and card payments, operating point-of-sale systems, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor, contributing to a pleasant shopping experience.
• Accurately process cash and card payments. Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily sales.
• Adhere to cash handling procedures to minimize loss and fraud.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking shelves.
• Monitor product expiration dates and report any issues to management.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, security, and health and safety.
• Adhere to local and national regulations governing retail sales and tax collection.

Qualifications

• OND in Accounting or its equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or hospitality setting preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
