Business Operations Manager at WootLab

Role Purpose

• The Business Operations & Growth Manager is responsible for driving the operational efficiency, commercial growth, and overall performance of Wootlab Innovations. The role ensures that the business achieves its strategic objectives by overseeing daily operations, driving revenue growth, strengthening accountability, and ensuring the successful delivery of software development, talent outsourcing, and digital transformation projects.
• Working closely with the CEO, the Business Operations & Growth Manager provides leadership across business operations, ensuring teams deliver against organisational targets while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that contribute to sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Commercial Development

• Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities across software development, talent outsourcing, consulting, and digital transformation services.
• Support proposal development, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor business opportunities from lead generation through contract execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government, development partners, and the private sector.

Operations & Project Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate activities across software development, business development, communications, finance, and administration.
• Improve operational systems, workflows, and business processes to increase efficiency.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and support departmental leads, ensuring accountability for deliverables and organisational priorities.
• Monitor team performance and ensure agreed targets, timelines, and service standards are achieved.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate weekly operational meetings and ensure implementation of agreed actions.

Technology & Talent

• Oversee the successful delivery of software development projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
• Work closely with technical teams to support product delivery and digital innovation.
• Provide operational oversight for Wootlab's talent outsourcing services, ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction.
• Stay informed on emerging technology trends and identify opportunities to strengthen Wootlab's service offerings.
• Reporting & Organisational Performance
• Prepare operational and business performance reports for executive management.
• Monitor organisational performance and recommend improvements to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, contractual obligations, and client expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma) are an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business operations, technology, consulting, software delivery, or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving organisational growth.
• Strong understanding of software development, digital products, technology services, and talent outsourcing.
• Experience working with government, development partners, or corporate clients is highly desirable.
