    Business Development Manager - Imo

    • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and market expansion across Imo States. If you have solid experience in the Wine & Spirits industry and a passion for building strong distribution networks, we would love to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement regional business plans to achieve sales and growth targets across Imo States.
    • Drive market expansion by onboarding new distributors and wholesalers in un-serviced and underdeveloped locations.
    • Manage Business Area P&L to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
    • Build and maintain a strong performance management culture within the sales team.
    • Oversee credit risk management and ensure adherence to company credit policies.
    • Champion flawless in-trade execution across all assigned markets.
    • Manage and safeguard trade assets within the Business Development Area.
    • Strengthen customer relationship management, optimize profitability, and support van sales operations.
    • Recruit, train, coach, and manage the regional sales team while monitoring performance to ensure targets are achieved.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to guide strategic decisions.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (MBA is an added advantage).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in the Wine & Spirits industry.
    • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets across multiple territories.
    • Proven ability to position and differentiate products against competitors.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
    • Candidate must reside in Imo State.
