Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Business in Umuahia.
This role is critical for building and scaling the business, ensuring operational excellence, and driving growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Business will lead teams, manage resources, and oversee market expansion initiatives.
Responsibilities
Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, revenue, and profitability.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team to achieve business objectives while fostering professional growth.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, optimizing processes and resources for efficiency.
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for growth in Umuahia and surrounding regions.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, ensuring sustainable financial performance and profitability.
Community Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the local community to strengthen brand presence.
Sales and Marketing: Lead sales and marketing initiatives to effectively promote products and services in the local market.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the insurance or insurtech industry, with a track record of building and scaling businesses.
Strong business acumen with an understanding of technology, insurance products, and the circular economy.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Passion for driving impact, sustainability, and innovation in a startup environment.
