    Business Development Associate

    Location: Ikeja, Lagos

    Job Description

    • The Business Development Associate will activate and grow the company’s network within the healthcare sector state wide, nationally and internationally.
    • The candidate will focus on assessing the ambulance services markets, current and potential market size.
    • He/she will identify the industry’s underlying trends and needs and provide credible information on major players in the ambulance service industry, their mode of operation and service offerings.
    • The Business Development Associate will be expected to propose a business development model or comprehensive channel strategy for lead generation to establish new client accounts, prospects as well as maintain and develop existing clients for repetitive business.
    • He/she will gather data, analyse and propose category focus that will enhance a revenue and profitability balance.

    Role Responsibilities
    The individual would be responsible for carrying out research for the growth of the business. The business development Associate will be required to:

    • Visit Hospitals (including emergency room personnel), Diagnostic centres, Hearse service providers, State ambulance service, corporate bodies, Schools, Hotels, Private individuals through the following mediums but not limited to:
      • Desktop research
      • Physical interviews and surveys
      • Cold calls
      • Visits to competitors
      • Data analysis
      • Reporting.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in business development
    • Ability to develop and sustain effective new business relationships with clients in order to leverage and set up effective commercial deals.
    • Proven ability to identify, shape and convert business opportunities in line with portfolio targets, meeting the necessary risk and profit requirements.
    • Proven capability to develop and manage sales opportunities from beginning to end including qualification, proposal, final selection, due diligence and closing.
    • Knowledge of the Health Industry and Industry contacts will be an advantage.
    • Ability to align and pursue organizational goals & drive short & long-term business development.

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Innovative, Result driven with Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail with Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong Project management, presentation and documentation skills
    • Reporting and Analytics
    • Excellent negotiation skills with Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
    • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
