Business Development and Partnership Officer at Africa Youth Growth Foundation

Job Identification

• The Business Development & Partnerships Officer will support the organization’s business development efforts by identifying funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and maintaining donor relationships to support the organization’s growth and sustainability.

Job Responsibilties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy that aligns with AYGF's overall goals and objectives.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies for securing funding through grants, partnerships, donations, and other revenue streams globally.
• Identify and secure global funding opportunities from a diverse range of sources, including international governments, multilateral agencies, private sector, and foundations.
• Develop compelling proposals for potential funders and partners to support AYGF’s global initiatives.
• Lead the development of high-quality proposals, concept notes, and partnership agreements tailored to funding opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors and partners to ensure ongoing support.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or fundraising within the NGO sector.
• Familiarity with proposal writing and donor engagement strategies.
• Master’s Degree in Business Development, International Development, Public Administration, or a relevant field (preferred).
• Professional certifications in fundraising, business development, or donor engagement (e.g., Fundraising Certification, PMP) (preferred).
