    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):

    • Oversee all on-site construction tasks, ensuring that workers adhere to project plans, technical specifications, and quality standards. Monitor progress closely to identify and address any delays or obstacles.
    • Recruit, hire, and coordinate site laborers and subcontractors. Provide clear instructions, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure that the workforce is productive, motivated, and compliant with safety protocols.
    • Enforce strict adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and ensure safe working conditions. Maintain high-quality workmanship in all construction activities.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the site workforce, project managers, engineers, and suppliers. Facilitate communication to resolve technical challenges, resource needs, or scheduling conflicts swiftly.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of daily work activities, labor attendance, material usage, equipment status, and site incidents. Generate detailed reports for management review, highlighting progress, challenges, and corrective actions.
    • Track construction milestones against project timelines and budgets. Identify areas of potential delay or cost overruns, propose corrective measures, and implement approved changes to keep projects on track.
    • Oversee the procurement, delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials and equipment on site. Ensure resources are available when needed, prevent wastage, and maintain inventory controls.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and innovations. Apply new construction technologies, methods, or tools that improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance safety on site.
    • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior site supervisors and workers. Foster skill development, encourage adherence to standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Quickly identify and address technical, operational, or interpersonal issues on site. Facilitate discussions to resolve conflicts, maintain team cohesion, and ensure uninterrupted work flow.
    • Ensure site activities minimize environmental impact by following company policies and government regulations related to waste management, pollution control, and sustainable construction practices.

    Requirement

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • 5 to 7 years of relevant construction site supervisory experience.
    • Proven track record in managing construction sites and site teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and manage daily on-site operations.
    • Experience in hiring, coordinating, and managing site workers.

    • Skilled in managing interpersonal conflicts and resolving disputes on site to maintain a productive working environment.
    • Highly organized with strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
    • Meticulous approach to monitoring work quality, safety measures, and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing project needs and priorities.
    • Demonstrates honesty, accountability, and commitment to ethical practices and company values.
    • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving project goals and continuous improvement.
