Builder / Contractor (Construction - Piling Specialist) at CFL Group

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Builder/Contractor with a strong background in construction and piling works, particularly within Lagos' building environment. 
• The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing surveying, structural engineering, project execution, and financial planning in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Survey Works: Utilize Total Station and other site equipment for precise building layout coordination.
• Piling Works: Execute bored piles and other necessary piling techniques with expertise.
• Architectural Execution: Interpret and execute architectural drawings, ensuring high-quality detailing and finishing for interiors and exteriors.
• Structural & Engineering Knowledge: Implement bar bending schedules, formwork, and shoring for reinforced concrete structures, focusing on sustainable construction practices.
• MEPF Coordination: Ensure compliance with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire (MEPF) system standards in construction.
• Project Management: Oversee industry tradesmen, site coordination, and timely project delivery while ensuring strict safety standards (HSE) adherence.
• Financial Stability & Cashflow Management: Manage project funding, liaising with banks, investors, or financial institutions to secure financing for ongoing and future projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Must be registered with NIOB (Nigerian Institute of Builders) and conversant with Lagos building regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years experience in construction and piling works.
• Strong understanding of surveying equipment, structural engineering, and project management.
• Proficiency in financial management and securing project funding.
• Knowledge of construction safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Must reside within Lagos or nearby areas.
