Branch Retail Head at SPAR

Role Description

• The Branch Retail Head is responsible for leading the overall operations and performance of a SPAR retail branch in Lagos.
• This full-time, on-site role includes overseeing sales activities, merchandising, stock management, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the store. The Branch Retail Head will manage and coach the store team, set performance targets, monitor key business metrics, and implement business plans that drive revenue and profitability.
• The role also involves maintaining store standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, coordinating promotional activities, and working closely with senior management to align branch operations with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong retail and sales experience, with proven ability to drive store performance and revenue.
• Business planning and analytical skills to develop, implement, and review branch strategies and KPIs.
• Team management skills, including leadership, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with a focus on shopper satisfaction.
• Ability to manage inventory, merchandising, and store operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant experience in multi-category retail or hypermarket operations is highly beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, integrity, and readiness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
