    Bilingual Customer Service Assistants (Igbo / Yoruba / Hausa)

    Job Description

    • We are looking to hire Customer Service Assistants to support our expanding operations. We are specifically seeking Bilingual Customer service assistants. Applicants must be Fluent in at least two of the three languages (Igbo, Yoruba & Hausa). Our goal is to hire two (2) customer service assistants to cover all three languages outlined above.
    • These candidates will be expected to interact with farmers, aggregators and potential vendors of agricultural produce. The ability to interact with farmers in their vernacular is essential for this position.
    • This role will support the management team by responding to phone calls, written inquiries, emails and other communication from our suppliers, customers, and associates.
    • The candidate will be based either in our head office in Umuahia, Abia State or our office in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
    • Successful candidates will be expected to have prior experience working as a customer service agent, telemarketer, agricultural extension officer, administrative assistant, or similar client-facing position.

    Job Requirements
    The ideal candidate will have most, if not all of the following:

    • Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree / HND / OND  / NCE qualification with at least 2 years work experience.
    • Comfort interacting with farmers and agricultural vendors in their respective languages.
    • Outstanding, polished telephone manners with excellent and convivial communication skills across a diverse set of individuals and clients.
    • Superior organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and overlapping responsibilities.
    • Exceptional writing skills so as to support documentation tasks associated with this position.
    • Demonstrated intellectual curiousity around people and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent observational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a geographically disperse (virtual) team of colleagues.
    • Prior (or current) experience as a customer service agent, front desk associate or similar market-facing role would be advantageous.
    • Prior experience working in a formal corporate environment would be considered advantageous.
