The Bids and Tendering Officer is responsible for reviewing and maintaining all company contracts, including purchases, sales and business partnerships, negotiating terms and conditions, and consulting with internal teams for compliance. The Bids and Tendering Officer administers established contracts, in accordance with the Contract Management Plan and approved procedures, to achieve delivery of contractual obligations to agreed standards.
What you’ll do:
Review and develop technical/commercial tenders to enhance the quality of tenders submitted to meet client’s specification and standards.
Develop well written, well-structured procurement documentation that clearly sets out the business requirements.
Provide daily contract administration and support, overseeing all contractual correspondence, and claims processing.
Maintain a continuing review of the work progress and provides management with information regarding financial, legal or technical difficulties.
Responsible for cost analysis and control, and preparing Variation Orders and amendments for Company approval.
Evaluate tenders and select providers in an objective and rigorous way, in line with established guidelines and principles.
Review of information about demands and derivation of supply and proposal preparations
Clarification of bid conditions and management of the tender preparation
Monitoring of the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the organization's requirements
Contribution in cost and price calculations
Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers
Manage the bid / proposal win strategy and ensure full trace ability and rigour in defining the strategy.
Ensure that the strategy is continually reviewed to reflect changing circumstances.
Sell the strategy internally and to partners.
What we are looking for:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field
MBA or MSc
Certification in Supply Chain Management required
Certification in Project Management
Experience:
4 - 5 years’ work experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas
Oil & Gas Industry
Good knowledge of procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the industry clime
Cross-Functional Supply Chain Expertise
Global Experience & International Regulations
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
Customer Relationship Management
Experience in Project Management and Stakeholder Management
