Baker at SPAR

Job description

• We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our dynamic team in our SPAR-FESTAC 
• The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in a bakery or similar environment, with strong understanding of baking techniques and a commitment to producing high quality baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Bake variety of products, including cakes, bread and pastries
• Follow recipes accurately and adjust ingredients as necessary to achieve desired results
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Monitor Inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate with the bakery manager to order stock as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns from customers regarding baked goods.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• SSCE or equivalent. A degree or certification in baking or culinary arts is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years baking experience in a retail bakery or restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with various health and safety regulations in a food service setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Creativity and passion for baking.
• Proximity to the job location is highly required.
