AWS DevOps Instructor at Darey.io

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Training Instructor to join our team at DAREY.IO. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality DevOps training both online and offline, managing training cohorts, and ensuring the continuous improvement of our curriculum and training materials. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive curriculum to our learners, conducting weekly training sessions, and providing ongoing support through our Slack community.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Delivery:

• Conduct engaging and effective DevOps training sessions both online and in-person
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels
• Provide hands-on guidance and support to learners during practical exercises and projects
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback

Cohort Management:

• Lead and coordinate training cohorts, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality learning experiences
• Align instructors with appropriate cohorts based on expertise and scheduling
• Monitor cohort progress and address any issues or concerns promptly

Curriculum Development and Maintenance:

• Continuously update and improve training materials, including slides, exercises, and projects
• Stay current with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices
• Collaborate with the content team to develop new courses and update existing ones
• Ensure curriculum aligns with industry standards and market demands

Learner Support:

• Provide additional support to learners outside of scheduled training sessions
• Offer guidance on career development and industry certifications
• Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment

Instructor Coordination:

• Mentor and support other instructors in delivering high-quality training
• Conduct regular meetings with the instructor team to share best practices and address challenges
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new instructors

Quality Assurance:

• Regularly review and assess the quality of training delivery across all cohorts
• Gather and analyze feedback from learners and instructors to identify areas for improvement
• Implement changes to enhance the overall learning experience

Stakeholder Communication:

• Provide regular updates to management on cohort progress and performance
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support student recruitment efforts
• Represent DAREY.IO at industry events and conferences as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong understanding of related tools and practices
• At least 3 years of experience in technical training or education
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and project management abilities
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools, and infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones for online training
• Willingness to travel for on-site training sessions at our head office in Yaba (when required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design
• Familiarity with learning management systems and online collaboration tools
