Auxillary Nurse at Prixair

Position Summary

• The Auxiliary Nurse will provide essential support in delivering quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Medical Officer.
• The role involves assisting with basic nursing procedures, maintaining patient comfort, ensuring hygiene standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and general comfort.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure).
• Support Registered Nurses and Pharmacist in carrying out routine clinical duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring infection control practices are followed.
• Assist in dressing wounds, administering oral medications (as directed), and monitoring patients’ responses.
• Transport patients within the facility when required.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient information and update records accurately.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to supervising nurses or doctors.
• Perform any other delegated tasks within the scope of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of nursing care experience (hospital, clinic, or health center).
• Basic knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care, and first aid.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
