Auto - Mechanical Technician at Trucksoft Logistics Limited

Job Summary

The Auto Mechanical Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trucks to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with Nigerian road regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•  Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in  trucks .
•  Perform routine preventive maintenance (servicing, oil changes, brake checks, engine tune-ups).
•  Repair and overhaul engines, gearboxes, clutches, suspension systems, and braking systems.
•  Respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out on-site repairs when required.
•  Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks.
•  Advise management on parts replacement and maintenance scheduling.
•  Ensure proper use of workshop tools and equipment.
•  Maintain accurate service and repair records for fleet documentation.

Requirements   

•  Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
•  Minimum of 3–5 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks.
•  Strong knowledge of truck brands commonly used in Nigeria (e.g.,Sino, Howo).
•  Ability to use diagnostic tools and mechanical testing equipment.
•  Good reporting and documentation skills.
•  Experience with fleet maintenance in a logistics or transport company is an advantage.
