Auto Electrician at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE

Responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on trucks and trailers to ensure optimal fleet performance and minimal downtime.

THE JOB

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on trucks, trailers, and tractors efficiently.
• Detect and rectify electrical fault codes using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Ensure all assigned trucks and trailers are repaired in line with acceptable standards.
• Carry out routine electrical inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with fleet and maintenance teams to ensure vehicle availability.
• Ensure proper use of tools and adherence to safety procedures during repairs.
• Support continuous improvement in maintenance processes and fleet reliability.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have strong technical knowledge of truck electrical systems.
• Demonstrate ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults in diesel trucks.
• Be detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Be able to work under pressure and meet operational demands.
• Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to read and write effectively.

QUALIFICATION

• Trade Test, SSCE, or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Additional technical certifications are an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in truck maintenance, specifically electrical systems.
• Experience working with diesel trucks is required.
