    Audit Supervisor

    THE COMPANY

    The company is a multi-disciplinary professional firm that renders the following services; Auditing, Taxation, Payroll Management, Accounting and Management Consultancy. The firm is a member of BKR international, BNI, GAE and many other international bodies.

    JOB SUMMARY

    A qualified Auditor that can constantly monitor audit staff and ensure that discipline and standards are being followed appropriately. A strong, bold and firm professional that can supervise a team of auditors, set targets and work efficiently towards achieving goals. Someone who can identify the problem areas faced by the subordinates and develop action plans to resolve the issues. Someone who is result-oriented and purposeful about any task given to him/her.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Supervise the activities of subordinates, reviewing their work including field memos and audit reports for sufficiency of scope and for accuracy, assign tasks and measure functional activities
    • Assist the Audit Unit head to schedule audit plans in order to manage the scope, staffing assignments, objective, duration, and frequency of audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements and in accordance with acceptable audit standards and approved schedules.
    • Liaise with the Audit Manager and the Engagement Partner to ensure continuing cooperation in audit activities in order to fulfil audit objectives in a timely manner
    • Identify and recommend updates to audit systems and procedures to ensure continued compliance and risk mitigation
    • Proactively seek out information that is relevant to job role whether internally or externally to efficiently and effectively deliver. Remain up to date with context of the Company and the role within it to provide insight on potential opportunities and/or challenges.
    • Contribute to the execution and delivery of any activities as and when required to ensure the continuity of work in the absence of other colleagues
    • Ensure high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Unit
    • Assist the Audit Manager to distribute and allocate day-to-day business activities to direct subordinates and supervise execution and delivery of operational tasks and assignments by providing on-the-job guidance and support
    • Provide subordinates with on-the-job trainings and equip them with all the pre-requisite material and tools to allow them to deliver in line with the Section’s business requirements.
    • Proactively evaluate the effectiveness of processes utilized within the department, make and implement improvements as needed in order to increase efficiency.
    • Perform any other activity as required by the company both at the company premises and remotely when requested by the company.

    Key Skills

    • Audit experience in practising Accounting firm
    • Knowledge of Tax Principles and reporting requirements
    • Ability to make the right decisions keeping in mind the impact it will have on the organization's goals and objectives
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are essential
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to details

    QUALIFICATION

    • BSc./BA Finance and Account  and any related field
    • Must be an Associate Chartered Accountant, ACA

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have between of 5-6 years’ experience in the relevant field
    • Ability to work with Microsoft Office tools and Accounting software (e.g.Sage, Excel etc.)
    • Ability to critically analyse data
    • Ability to tactically report data
    • Ability to meet up with deadline
    • Hardworking and committed
    • Must be a team player
