    Associate Counsel - Real Estate, Regulatory Compliance

    Responsibilities

    • Experience in real estate and property law practice, to wit:
    • Perfection of title land regularisation within Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory.
    • Initiating and completing applications for perfection of title and processing of Certificate of Occupancy at the State and Federal Lands Registries.
    • Initiating and completing Federal Regularisation transactions.
    • Processing the registration of Deeds of Rectification and Deed of Extract.
    • Processing the procurement of registered surveys.
    • Superintending the confirmation and reestablishment of beacons.
    • Ensuring quick closure of pending transactions at Alausa.
    • Registering Deeds of Mortgage.
    • Daily follow up on applications.
    • Obtaining Certified True Copies of Documents.
    • Conducting searches at the registries.
    • Processing building approvals.
    • Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance and tax practice.
    • Knowledge of Administration of Estate Law and Practice

    Requirements

    • Ability to work independently, take initiative and work strictly within set timelines.
    • Sound legal drafting and review skills.
    • Liaise effectively with government agencies and parastatals.
    • Good interpersonal and client management skills.
    • Ability to function effectively under pressure.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good leadership and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in teams.
    • Minimum of four (4) years post-call experience.
    • LLB. B.L (LLM/relevant professional certification is an advantage).
