    Architect / Creative Design Assistant

    Introduction  

    We are a creative design and interior company; providing space rearrangement, soft and hard furnishings, interior and exterior projects for homes, offices, schools and churches.

    Role 

    The successful candidate will work directly with the Creative Director; providing support duties cutting across administrative, procurement, design, project management and customer services roles.

    Job Description

    Administrative Support

    • Provide direct administrative support to the creative director or the designate like running official errands, answering phones, or contacting clients to obtain important information.
    • communicate with the clients to arrange meetings and consultations with the creative director.
    • collect photographs and measure rooms during a site visit, and provide clients and the designer with samples, mock-ups, and reports on budgets.
    • Develop & maintain a good relationship with our pool of tradesmen & vendors.

    Procurement

    • Procure materials required when working on a project.
    • Maintain a database of vendors and the materials they specialize in and stay up-to-date with current cost of materials.
    • Devise means of utilizing the most cost effective method of making purchases either by visiting the vendor or placing orders via
    • Keep inventory of materials delivered to the office ensuring that they are received in good conditions by inspecting them for any faults and signing off if without faults.

    Designing Tasks

    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and make vital input in design ideas.
    • Provide direct assistance to creative director during projects moving furniture, measuring spaces and items and take photographs of spaces.
    • Create functional and relatable set up in the show room to attract clients.
    • Manage store arrangement on a regular basis, creating and maintaining an attractive ambience to clients.
    • Introduce new product designs.

    Interact with Clients

    Meet with both clients and prospective clients to better understand their needs, relay such information to the creative director and follow-up calls to the clients.

    Manage Projects

    • Oversee projects as may be designated and ensure they are completed within agreed timelines and without incident.
    • Ensure that workers adhere to a set budget.
    • Any other duty that may be assigned.

    The Person 

    The ideal candidate should have / be;

    • A minimum of OND in Architecture or Interior Designs.
    • 2 years’ work experience desirably in administrative support within the interior design space.
    • Significant amount of creativity, a strong artistic and stylish sense and applied problem-solving skills.
    • Mastery in the use of social media tools.
    • Naturally wired to be cautious and pay attention to details.
    • Good command of both written and spoken English
    • Good with numbers
    • Basic design knowledge.
    • Brilliant people, presentation and communication skills.
    • Skills to manage teams and clients’ expectation
    • A creative and analytical thinker.
    • Ability to work under demanding timelines and pressure.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work with walk-in customers interested in making purchases.
    • Interpersonal skills - communicate in a professional and clear manner with their coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
    • Dedicated, Disciplined and Committed to our goals.
    • Self-motivated personality.
    • Neat and well organized
    • Love to travel
    • Live within the Victoria Island/ Yaba/ Lagos Island/ Lekki - Ajah axis.
    • Not more than 40 years old.
