Role Description

• This full-time on-site Accountant role is based in LagosThe Accountant will be responsible for providing the following; 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform regular reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts and financial performance reports for senior management and the Board.
• Support external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Preparation and filling of LIRS returns and FIRS monthly and annual returns
• Maintain proper accounting records for managed funds and portfolios.
• Calculate daily Net Asset Value (NAV) for funds in line with SEC approved valuation policies.
• Track investment transactions, income, expenses, and corporate actions.
• Ensure accurate recording of management fees, incentive fees, and other fund expenses.
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and reporting requirements.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns and regulatory filings.
• Maintain proper documentation for recapitalization, capital adequacy, and fund reporting.
• Monitor bank accounts, fund flows, and liquidity positions.
• Process payments, receipts, and investment settlements accurately and timely.
• Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Enforce internal control procedures to prevent errors and fraud.
• Assist in developing and improving financial policies and procedures.
• Support risk assessments related to financial operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience, preferably in asset management, financial services,   or investment firms.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, fund accounting, and SEC regulatory requirements
