Support strategies within GZI to drive cost reduction, and improve quality and service.
Promote process improvement culture within GZI by executing continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE.
Tracking downtime trends, spoilage data, and developing improvement plans based on the data gathered.
Supports the delivery of appropriate process improvement trainings within GZI.
Liaises with other departments to identify process failures and non-conformities, and develops action plans to solve or overcome them (using A3 analysis, RCA, brainstorming etc.)
Conducts research to identify and ensure the wide spread communication of best practices relevant to GZI’s operations.
Support the implementation of GZI’s recycling strategy, plans and goals in order to minimize pollution and conform to regulatory requirements.
Provide support in preparing reports and updates for recycling operations.
Identifies and explores opportunities for generating revenue for GZI from recycled aluminium scrap and UABC.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Minimum of a First Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years cognate work experience.
Lean manufacturing experience.
Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas.
Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
Focused & dedicated approach towards achieving assigned targets.
Ability to read, interpret data and create reports as required.
